My Botanicals series of paintings explore the fleeting effects of sunlight on leaves and petals. When a beam of sunlight shines through a leaf, it affects how we see its colour. It’s no longer just green. It is so many shades of translucent colour.

The Role of Nature in Art

I love houseplants and the calm, uplifting energy they bring indoors. Nature-inspired art can have a similar effect, especially when filled with light and colour. When I paint botanicals, I aim to capture sunlight and vibrancy so that each painting or print can brighten a space and lift the mood of anyone who sees it.
